When you finish this game you’ll probably have answers to those big questions you’ve been wondering about all these years—like how the telephone knows it’s time to ring right when you sit down to dinner.

When you break out the muffin tins for this game, your kids will probably expect something special for dessert. You can give them something just as yummy: a great way to entertain themselves before mealtime.

Kids set the muffin tins on the floor and assign points for each cup. The players take turns tossing an object into the tins, such as beans, dried macaroni, or pennies. (Small objects aren’t appropriate for small kids.) If your kids are old enough to use coin math in the game, they can make “heads” worth a single score, while “tails” is worth double the amount.

As a variation, the players can toss with their eyes closed. They can also write a number on scraps of colored paper, one for each cup in the tin. Numbers on the green scraps might be positive, while those on the red scraps are to be subtracted from the score.
